World Water Day

Every year, March 22 is World Water Day. This year´s celebrations highlight the theme Waste Water. Waste water is perceived as a valuable resource in the circular economy and its safe management is an efficient investment in the health of humans and ecosystems. Within the MSc ETIA (Environmental Technology and International Affairs) Program, the topic is treated in the lecture „Waste water infrastructure“ presented by Prof. Kroiss, a specialist in his field – see: www.etia.at

ETIA group speaker Philipp Gasser states: „Demand for water is growing worldwide while access to clean sources becomes more and more limited. The World Water Day is a reminder that it is time to consider tapping into new sources such as for example waste water which with today's existing technologies can be given proper treatment in order to ensure adequate and sustainable water supply.“
